Each artist represented by the Gallery is carefully selected for the quality of their work, the authenticity of their artistic practice, and their contribution to Canada's vibrant artistic landscape.

Only original artworks identified as available for online purchase may be ordered directly through our website. Limited edition reproductions displayed in the Reproductions section are subject to different purchasing arrangements and may be acquired by contacting the Gallery directly.

Reviewing and Confirming Your Order

Before completing your purchase, you may review and modify your shopping cart, billing information, shipping address and payment method at any time.

By clicking "Place Order," you submit your order to the Gallery and authorize payment using the selected payment method.

Within a few minutes of placing your order, you will automatically receive an initial email confirming that your order has been received. This email confirms that your payment has been successfully processed but does not constitute your official invoice.

Within one (1) business day, our team will review and validate your order before sending you a second email containing, among other things:

  • your official PDF invoice;
  • a digital photograph of your artwork;
  • information regarding the preparation and shipment of your order.

Printed copies of these documents will also accompany your artwork upon delivery.

Payment

Currency

To better serve both our Canadian and American clientele, auptitbonheur.com is available in two versions:

  • the Canadian website displays prices in Canadian dollars (CAD);
  • the U.S. website displays prices in U.S. dollars (USD).

Orders are processed in the currency corresponding to the version of the website used at the time of purchase.

Applicable Taxes

Prices displayed on our website do not include applicable sales taxes.

Sales taxes are calculated based on the shipping destination of your order, in accordance with applicable tax legislation.

Orders shipped within Quebec are subject to the 5% Goods and Services Tax (GST) and the 9.975% Quebec Sales Tax (QST).

For orders shipped to other Canadian provinces, applicable taxes are calculated according to the tax regulations in effect for the destination province.

Online Payment

Purchases made through auptitbonheur.com are payable in full at checkout using one of the payment methods offered during the online purchasing process.

Depending on your eligibility, you may also have the option to pay for your purchase in installments through Shop Pay, in accordance with the terms established by that payment provider.

Courtesy Payment Plan — Interest-Free Monthly Payments

Acquiring an original work of art is often a meaningful investment that some collectors prefer to spread over time.

In addition to the payment options available through our website, the Gallery offers its own Courtesy Payment Plan, allowing eligible purchases to be paid over several months with no interest or additional fees.

This service is available for purchases made by telephone or in person at the Gallery. If you wish, we can arrange a personalized payment schedule while allowing you to receive your artwork without delay.

For example, a $3,600 purchase may be divided into:

  • 6 monthly payments of $600;
  • 8 monthly payments of $450;
  • 12 monthly payments of $300;
  • 18 monthly payments of $200.

Other payment arrangements may also be available. We will be pleased to discuss the options that best suit your needs.

Monthly payments are processed using a Visa, Mastercard or American Express credit card.

This Courtesy Payment Plan is separate from the payment options offered through our online checkout and is not available for purchases completed directly through the shopping cart. If you would like to take advantage of this service, please contact us before placing your order.

Shipping & Delivery

Since 1986, we have been delivering original works of art throughout Canada with the same care and attention we would give if transporting them for ourselves.

Depending on the destination, the size of the artwork and the nature of the order, your purchase may be delivered directly by our own team or shipped through one of our trusted transportation partners. Whenever possible, we prefer to deliver artworks ourselves, allowing us to offer an even more personalized level of service. Regardless of the delivery method, every artwork is carefully prepared to ensure it arrives safely at its destination.

A valid shipping address must be provided at the time of purchase. We are unable to ship to post office boxes (P.O. Boxes). Each order may be shipped to one delivery address only. If you wish to send artworks to multiple addresses, a separate order must be placed for each destination.

Complimentary Shipping Within Canada

We are pleased to offer complimentary shipping anywhere in Canada on all original artworks purchased through auptitbonheur.com.

Complimentary shipping includes professional fine art packaging, handling and shipping charges.

Delivery Methods

Depending on the destination and the characteristics of your order, artworks are delivered either through one of our trusted carriers (Purolator, UPS, DHL or Canada Post) or by our own in-house delivery service.

If you would prefer to pick up your purchase at the Gallery, simply contact us when placing your order so we can make the necessary arrangements.

Shipping to the United States & International Destinations

To better serve our American clientele, auptitbonheur.com is also available in a U.S. version, with prices displayed in U.S. dollars (USD).

Original artworks shipped to the United States are not subject to Canadian sales taxes (GST, QST or HST). Subject to current regulations, original works of art created in Canada are generally exempt from U.S. customs duties upon importation.

For shipments to the United States, shipping charges are calculated before your order is confirmed, based on the destination, dimensions, weight and value of the artwork. The applicable shipping cost is displayed during checkout before your purchase is completed.

Packaging & Handling

Every artwork is professionally prepared to ensure the highest level of protection throughout transit.

Packaging is tailored to the nature of each order, the dimensions of the artwork and the selected delivery method. When required, artworks are protected using specialized materials and shipped in packaging specifically designed for the safe transportation of fine art.

For deliveries made by our own team, packaging is adapted to this delivery method, with the artwork remaining under our direct care until it is personally delivered to its new owner.

Regardless of how your order is delivered, we take the same care in preparing every shipment so your artwork arrives in excellent condition.

Delivery Times

Orders are prepared as soon as they have been reviewed and confirmed by our team. In most cases, delivery is completed within approximately one (1) to ten (10) business days, although shipments to more remote destinations may require additional time.

If your purchase is intended for a special occasion, as a gift, or if you would simply like to receive it before a specific date, we encourage you to contact us before placing your order. We will gladly confirm the estimated delivery timeframe for your destination.

Conversely, if you would prefer to postpone delivery—for example because you are moving, renovating, travelling or completing a decorating project—we will be pleased, subject to available storage capacity, to hold your artwork at the Gallery until you are ready to receive it.

Should an unforeseen circumstance delay the preparation, shipment or delivery of your order, we will contact you as soon as possible to keep you informed.

Tracking Your Order

When your order is shipped through a carrier, you will generally receive an email containing your shipment confirmation along with a tracking number so you can follow the progress of your delivery.

When your artwork is delivered by our own team, we will contact you shortly before delivery to confirm our expected arrival.

Receiving Your Order

To help ensure the safe delivery of your artwork, shipments sent by carrier are generally sent with a signature required service to reduce the likelihood of a package being left unattended. Depending on the carrier, destination or circumstances beyond our control, delivery procedures may occasionally vary.

If no one is available to receive the shipment, the carrier may attempt delivery again, redirect the package to a designated pickup location or leave instructions explaining how to retrieve your order.

Additional delivery attempts may result in extra costs for the Gallery. While these charges are never passed on to our clients, we greatly appreciate your cooperation in helping facilitate the successful delivery of your artwork.

For deliveries made by our own team, your artwork will be delivered according to the arrangements made with you.

Damage During Transit

Although every precaution is taken when preparing and packaging your artwork, damage during transportation may exceptionally occur.

We encourage you to inspect your package upon delivery. If the packaging appears damaged or if you notice any damage to the artwork itself, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order.

To help us properly document the situation and initiate the appropriate procedures with the carrier, we may ask you to provide:

  • photographs of the exterior packaging;
  • photographs of the interior packaging;
  • clear photographs of the artwork and any visible damage;
  • a brief description of the situation.

We also recommend that you retain all original packaging materials until your claim has been reviewed.

Where damage is confirmed and the applicable conditions have been met, the Gallery will work with you to determine the most appropriate solution, whether that involves reimbursement, replacement of the artwork or another mutually agreed resolution.

Responsibility for Shipments

The Gallery remains responsible for your artwork throughout transit until it has been delivered to you or collected from the carrier's designated pickup location, as applicable.

If your shipment is lost, damaged or encounters any other transportation-related issue, please contact us as soon as possible. We will be pleased to assist you, manage the necessary follow-up and remain personally involved until the matter has been resolved.


Online Returns & Exchanges

Since 1986, we have been committed to ensuring that every artwork acquired from our Gallery brings lasting satisfaction.

Should an artwork purchased through auptitbonheur.com not fully meet your expectations, the following policy outlines the conditions governing returns and exchanges.

This policy applies exclusively to purchases made through auptitbonheur.com. If your artwork was purchased by telephone or directly from the Gallery, please contact our team, and we will be pleased to assist you.

Before completing your purchase, we encourage you to take advantage of our personalized services. Upon request, we are pleased to provide additional photographs, answer your questions or, whenever possible, prepare a personalized room mock-up to help you make your decision with confidence.

Returns

If an artwork purchased through auptitbonheur.com does not meet your expectations, it may be returned under the following conditions.

Within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery

  • a refund equal to 90% of the purchase price, including applicable taxes;
  • the artwork must be returned in its original condition, together with its frame (where applicable) and original packaging;
  • the return shipment will be arranged by the Gallery, and a prepaid return shipping label will be provided.

Between forty-eight (48) hours and ten (10) days after delivery

  • a Gallery credit equal to 90% of the purchase price, including applicable taxes;
  • the credit may be applied toward a future purchase made by telephone or at the Gallery;
  • the artwork must be returned in its original condition, together with its frame (where applicable) and original packaging;
  • the return shipment will be arranged by the Gallery, and a prepaid return shipping label will be provided.

The 10% deduction helps offset a portion of the transportation, handling and restoration costs that may be incurred when an artwork is returned.

Exchanges

Although we make every effort to help our clients choose the right artwork before purchasing, we understand that an artwork may occasionally not be the perfect fit once installed in its new environment. To provide additional peace of mind, eligible purchases may be exchanged under the following conditions.

Within ten (10) days of delivery

  • the exchange value corresponds to 100% of the original purchase price, including applicable taxes;
  • exchanges are available for another artwork of equal or greater value, subject to availability;
  • the artwork must be returned in its original condition, together with its frame (where applicable) and original packaging;
  • unlike a return, the cost of returning the original artwork is the responsibility of the client;
  • the Gallery will cover the shipping cost of the replacement artwork anywhere within Canada.

The Gallery reserves the right to refuse any exchange request that does not comply with this policy or that, in its sole judgment, is inconsistent with its intended purpose, including repeated or abusive requests or other exceptional circumstances.

How to Return or Exchange an Artwork

Before returning an artwork, please contact our team. We will provide you with the appropriate instructions and, where applicable, either a prepaid return shipping label or detailed return instructions.

To qualify for a refund, Gallery credit or exchange, the artwork—including its frame, where applicable—must be returned in its original condition, undamaged and in its original packaging.

The Gallery reserves the right to refuse any return or exchange that does not comply with the conditions set out in this policy.

Processing Your Refund or Gallery Credit

Upon receiving the returned artwork, our team will inspect it to ensure that the applicable return conditions have been met.

Eligible refunds or Gallery credits are generally processed within one (1) to five (5) business days.

Depending on the circumstances:

  • refunds are issued using the original method of payment;
  • or a Gallery credit is issued for a future purchase.

Please note that your financial institution may require additional processing time before a refund appears on your account.

Responsibility During a Return

When the Gallery provides a prepaid return shipping label and the return instructions have been followed, responsibility for the artwork transfers to the Gallery once the package has been delivered to the designated carrier.

This allows us to coordinate the return shipment, monitor its progress and respond promptly should any unexpected issue arise during transit.

To ensure the artwork remains properly protected, it must be returned in its original packaging and in accordance with the instructions provided by our team.

Order Limitations & Cancellation

The Gallery reserves the right to refuse, suspend or cancel any order placed through auptitbonheur.com whenever circumstances warrant, including, but not limited to, transactions that appear unusual, irregular or potentially fraudulent.

Whenever reasonably possible, the Gallery will contact the customer using the contact information provided with the order.

If an order must be cancelled due to a clear pricing error, an inaccurate product description or any other significant error affecting the order, the Gallery will notify the customer as soon as reasonably possible. Any payment received will be refunded using the original method of payment.


Product Information & Availability

We make every reasonable effort to ensure that all descriptions, dimensions, photographs, pricing and other information displayed on auptitbonheur.com are accurate and up to date.

Artwork photography is produced with great care to represent each piece as faithfully as possible. However, colours may vary slightly depending on individual monitor and device settings.

All original artworks are offered subject to prior sale. Although our inventory is carefully managed, an artwork may exceptionally become unavailable before an order is processed—for example, if it has been sold simultaneously through the Gallery or another sales channel.

Should this occur, we will promptly notify you. The affected order will be cancelled, and any payment received will be refunded using the original method of payment.

The personal information collected in connection with your purchase is used solely for processing your order, arranging delivery and providing after-sales service when required.
