Born in Alberta in 1980, Allison Robin Smith grew up surrounded by the vast landscapes of Western Canada, where her appreciation for nature and its ever-changing beauty first took root. She began painting in the late 1990s and later studied illustration and design at Dawson College in Montreal. Now based in Saint-Lazare, Quebec, she draws inspiration from both the wide-open spaces of her childhood and the lakes, forests, and rolling landscapes of her adopted province.
